❗❗ FLASH — YOU'RE INVITED ❗❗
Wednesday 5/28
— I'm going shopping early to beat the rush, and having an extra early breakfast on the way. 7AM at Little Pat's, for any early risers!

❗❗ FLASH — YOU'RE INVITED ❗❗
Thursday 5/29
— Headed to my bank, which is in West Seattle, within easy walking distance of lunch at Easy Street, the record store that's also a cafe. Excellent bacon-cheeseburger.

If it's been too long since I've remembered to say it, you're the best family and friends I've ever had, and who could ask for anything more?

Nobody knows what the future might bring but everyone knows it'll suck, so my hope is to have a good time for as long as a good time's legal and possible.

Here's what I'm hoping to do this week. If you're family, friend, former friend, acquaintance, arch-enemy, or simply Doug-curious, you're invited. Click the links for details, or drop me a note!

Whether I do any or all of these things depends on my mood when I wake up that day, but I'll definitely be there if someone's coming with me — maybe you?

Friday 5/23
West Seattle Story Slam

"Tell me a story, said one."
"All right I will, said another." And it's free!

Sunday 5/25
That Ribbon of Highway: Woody Guthrie in the Pacific Northwest

Tell me another story, but this time make it a story about Woody Guthrie. This Land is Your Land, this land is my land. And it's free!

Tuesday 5/27
Doubleheader of René Clair masterpieces

Brush up on your French and enjoy Le Million (1931) and Entr'acte (1924), the latter including Erik Satie's only movie score. Bad news, though — it's not free.

 • Please RSVP by the day before.
 • All events are 'Dutch treat'.
 • Please remember the basics of Doug

And if you're planning something or going somewhere, and you'd like a fat man with flatulence to tag along, all invitations will be cheerfully considered, possibly even accepted.
